One of the most exciting gifts I saw recently was a box of chocolate-making ingredients.
This recipe is versatile, and so if you love dark Lindt varieties, try experimenting with this one:
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup cacao butter/ coconut oil/ olive oil
1/4 cup honey
2 T almond slivers (optional)
1 tsp vanilla seeds (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
1. Heat cacao butter in a saucepan on a medium – low heat.
2. Once melted, add honey and cacao powder and combine.
3. Add remaining ingredients of choice: nuts/ essences/ rinds/ spices.
4. Pour into moulds, or make slabs or coins on a flat tray, then refrigerate for 30 mins.
